I work for a theming construction company who are famous for creating the natural looking environments for the zoos across the country, however it is a cool place to work because I get to hear about all the new exhibits at the zoos before they are released to the public, then also, I have a option to visit the zoos after the projects are completed… Which I must admit is a cool perk for working for my company.
Every one of us were awarded a contract for some replaces to the African in addition to Desert Lives Trail inside the zoo. I loved working on the project in addition to seeing the critters made it so much more satisfying. I went to Phoenix while all of us were in the Summer, in addition to I was not prepared for the heat. I knew it would be sizzling because it is in the desert, however it was more than I could have imagined, however thankfully, my rental for the month had unbelievable air conditioning, so as long as I was indoors, I was fine; However, when I visited the zoo, there wasn’t much I could do to beat the heat, there were entirely little air conditioned spaces, in addition to I was upset about the critters in addition to how they stayed cool in the blistering temperature, but because I inspected the exhibit, I was granted an exclusive behind the scenes tour of the zoo. The guide explained that the critters stayed cool by kneeling in pools of water all afternoon. Also, he explained that there are some air conditioned spaces that a few of the critters have access to. That made me guess better because staying cool in the Phoenix heat is essential for their survival.
