My boss decided to give me a promotion if I wanted to move to the other side of the country.
I was somewhat anxious plus a bit bummed out. I wasn’t exactly ecstatic about moving to NM, although I was able to find a couple of silver linings in the cloud. Recreational plus medical marijuana is honestly legal all over NM! The prices for recreational plus medical marijuana in Albuquerque were 40% lower than the prices I was paying for medical marijuana where I happened to be living. That alone was a fantastic reason to take the work plus make the 1500 mile move. Happily, the promotion also came with a pretty hefty raise. I found a nice home right in the middle of Albuquerque, only a few blocks away from my new work. I was actually cheerful about the commute, which was a relatively short 15 minute walk. I never have to take my car anywhere. I lived in Albuquerque for 6 months before I had to deal with the first frosty season. I did not even expect such nippy temperatures after I moved. I thought the average frosty season temperatures would be roughly 40 degrees, plus I was totally surprised the first time we ended up getting snow. It was a day in December plus I was at work when I started to see the snowfall. It was terribly cold plus I was extremely surprised by the appearance of snow. A few of my co-workers told me that it rarely ever snows in the city, but there are definitely those places in the high desert that received more than 2 inches of accumulation in the frosty season.
