The Tampa Bay AC repair service is always busy during the summer months.
It’s impossible to get a daytime appointment during the same day unless you pay a pretty hefty fee.
I called the Tampa Bay service provider last month when I had an AC problem. I called that 8:15 in the morning and the woman on the phone told me that they were already booked for the day with appointments. They offered to call me if a Tampa Bay service provider became available, but I didn’t want to wait around. I told the lady that I was going to call some of the other Tampa Bay AC repair services. I couldn’t find anyone with a same-day appointment. One guy had an after-hours spot available, but he wanted $75 extra and he wanted the $75 fee up front to secure the spot. I thought that was crazy. I also thought it might be illegal, but what can I do about that? I ended up calling the first service provider that I spoke with. The lady took my name and number and she told me that she would call if anything became available. About 15 minutes after 5, the repair service called with an available technician. I was at the grocery store, but I left my cart in the middle of the aisle and went back home so I could be there when the Tampa Bay service technician arrived. The issue turned out to be low refrigerant with the machine. It’s a common problem that happens with an older AC unit. I had more refrigerant added to the system and the AC works like brand-new equipment.
