My birthday falls at the end of July, then it can be in the eighties or in the nineties, however this year, it was so hot here in Sioux Falls that I had the a/c on plus I pointed it at my birthday cake. I didn’t even know I had a birthday cake until they delivered it… My wife couldn’t find anywhere to put it in the freezer or refrigerator, and she told me she hated to ruin the surprise, even though she needed help, then apparently, she planned a surprise birthday gathering for me, plus the cake had arrived earlier than she expected. I walked through the condo looking for a location to put a small table for the cake, so the a/c could hit it, even with the a/c, by the time her guests started arriving, the icing was melting. She told me she had considered taking the gathering to Falls Park. The waterfalls could have helped with the cooling, even though she didn’t think the older people would want to be out in the sun. She knew I loved Falls Park, plus she wanted to have a surprise birthday gathering for me. I often said Falls Park was my number one location in Sioux Falls, plus she remembered. My birthday gathering won’t be a surprise, but it will definitely be memorable as one of the best I have ever had. Maybe next year, we’ll go to Falls Park for my birthday without being a folderol with invitations, a melting cake, plus having it too hot for the outdated people.
