My passion in life is nature photography.
It started when I was a kid, and my dad taught me how to hunt game. We were rural people, deep in the endless forests of Washington state, and knowing how to hunt for food was not a leisure activity, it was necessary. I never enjoyed shooting animals, but I understood that we needed to do it for food. Now that I am an adult with my own resources I can buy my food at the grocery store and don’t need to shoot anything, which I greatly prefer. I live near the massive, sprawling city of Seattle, so close I can see their light pollution in the night sky. The placement of my home is not accidental, because it gives me the best of both worlds. I get the wonder of nature all around me, but the metropolis of Seattle is so close I can get anything I need. If only Seattle allowed for cannabis delivery I would rarely have to venture into the city. One day the laws will change, until then I drive to the north side of Seattle once or twice a month to stock up on cannabis products. While I am there I usually get a bite to eat, and visit some of the amazing local Seattle artisan shops. The art scene in Seattle is amazing, and I would still drive to see it even if I wasn’t already here for my cannabis supplies. As great a city as Seattle is, after a few hours I’m ready to return to the solitude of nature.
