The guy who was able to assist with planning NY’s famous Central Park also had a hand in creating WA park, or Wash Park as it is referred to by Denverites. For outdoor enthusiasts who happen to live in or visit Denver, Wash park is a locale to get lost and easily discover your peace… Shaped mostly like a giant rectangle, its basic shape is straight-forward, but the adventures to be had are abundant and range from all-day hikes to a nice dinner in between meetings! If you prefer gardens (who doesn’t?), you are going to enjoy yourself… WA park has a bunch of them. On the south side, near lake Windermere, there is a garden that totally strives to replicate the garden that Mrs. George WA enjoyed at her dwelling… Near the other lake in the park, yeah, you read that correctly, there are 2 lakes in WA Park. There is a garden with numerous walkways that wind you through the appealing blooms, and perhaps Springtime is the finest time, or maybe even summer, to enjoy the hours in WA park. If you prefer a run, there is a running/jogging/walking path that is a nice 2 miles or so. Be sure to lace up your trainers and go for it! Don’t hesitate to supply your furry one a leash and bring him along. Dogs are totally welcome in the park. When marijuana was declared legal in CO, Denver enjoyed a pretty massive tourism boom, but it isn’t the lenient cannabis laws that bring people back all the time. It is the natural beauty and the warm, welcoming people of Denver that make people have the desire to live there and visit there on a regular basis.
