My fiance wanted to see some friends who were staying in the city, then i thought that the two of us could make the multiple and a half hour drive and then come home at the end of the morning! My fiance wanted to get a hotel room, at first she said that the two of us should stay in chicago. I knew that the cost of a hotel was going to be really high. I went online to look at hotel prices and other locales that were halfway between our home and the endpoint. I found numerous hotels in Orland park, IL… Orland Park was about halfway between the multiple locales and they have numerous odd hotels available. My fiance agreed to a cheaper hotel in Orland Park, however both of us evaluated into our hotel before the two of us met with her friends. Both of us drove the rest of the way to our endpoint. On our way, the a/c in the car stopped working. I was totally shocked and surprised. I did not anticipate having problems with the a/c. By the time the two of us arrived, my shirt was drenched with sweat and my fiance had frizzy hair. I am sure it is a story that the two of us will be telling in 50 years, however the two of us were both embarrassed by the whole debacle and my fiance wanted to turn around and go home. I would not let her call and disappoint her friends with an excuse, they were only in the city for a few days and my fiance had made plans with them numerous weeks in advance. They were all gleeful to party and see each other.
