My husband and I decided to renew our wedding vows for our thirty year anniversary.
It seemed like a good idea.
The two of us wanted to do a little trip, repeat our vows and have a good time. I looked around and decided to do it right. We flew into Las Vegas, Nevada and had Elvis do it for us. My husband and I really liked that experience. It made the renewal process fun and light rather than heavy and overly romantic. We are not the type of people that need a lot of pomp and circumstance. Elvis did a great job and we laughed a bunch. After that, we got to enjoy Vegas. My husband loves to gamble so he frequented the casinos a lot. While he would gamble I enjoyed the spa services at the hotel. I also did some shopping in some high end stores. The two of us then would find somewhere really nice to eat and end our evening with a show. We did that for four days before returning home. It was a worthwhile trip. A lot of people think that Las Vegas only caters to a younger 20-30 age crowd. As a couple in our 50s, we had a wonderful time. My husband loved trying different cuisine each night. I enjoyed all the different shows that we experienced. The landscapes were really pretty in the area too. Nevada is just a very diverse state when you think about it. Plus, there is the added bonus that cannabis is legal there as well. My husband and I enjoyed that aspect.
