It’s good to know something about the history of Denver

Less than a decade after the CA Gold Rush, Denver Colorado was seeing a rush of its own.

The South Platte River became the place to be for various adventurers seeking fortune… It is pretty interesting to imagine covered wagons plus rustic lodges lining the edges of the river that is so strange nowadays.

Pikes Peak, where you can take a train today – up as high as 8,000 miles or so, became the scene for boys plus their families hoping to make big money with another gold rush. Even though there were a huge amount of difficult times to come for those original frontiersmen, they managed to remain tough. As a result, all of us have the most enjoyable plus charming city nicknamed the Mile High City! Similar to lots of other western frontiers, a few boys came to not only look for gold but to merely stake a claim for land. Americans have regularly been a people trying to find ways to forge their own ways, plus back in the 18th century, Denver provided a reasonable amount of opportunity. In 1861, close to a hundred years after those first prospectors from Georgia showed up in what we call Denver, the US government recognized the section by creating the Territory of Colorado. It wasn’t so long after that when Colorado was admitted into the Union, respectfully, by President Ulysses S. Grant. And not so long after that, the Denver Telephone Dispatch Company was created. Embracing up-to-date ideas even then, Denver has managed to get through drastic weather, wars, fires, floods, plus other intense disasters throughout the years. Today, that similar spirit of openness can be located among various Denver people who openly embrace all types of people plus vote in common-sense laws, including the legalization of cannabis close to a decade ago.
