Not a day goes by that I’m not grateful for growing up in Oregon.
- This state has a reputation for being wild, and I will not dispute that reputation! When I was a kid my friends and I ran wild, spending all day riding our bikes and running through the old logging trails.
It was a world of natural beauty that I didn’t fully appreciate at the time… but I do now. When I had the chance to move away from my small hometown I didn’t move far, and settled in a place called Hillsboro. I moved here to take night classes in the field of HVAC repair and installation, in hopes of settling down and raising a family one day. Even in a place as idyllic as Hillsboro, I knew I had to have a good, reliable job before I started a family. I know too many people who live off Oregon public assistance, and didn’t want to be one of them. This is why I picked HVAC as a field of interest, because I knew I could use this education to find work. After I achieved my HVAC certification, I did some online research and decided that Hillsboro would be the best place to ply my trade. The population of Hillsboro rises a little every year, but has been growing faster recently. This means new construction, which means more demand for specialized HVAC workers like me. The move to Hillsboro was a smart one, my career is moving in the right direction, and one day maybe I’ll find a nice woman to settle down with.
