After graduating from school, my three kids each moved to Florida; They are all located in the Tampa area, but until my buddy and I retire, my partner plus I are forced to remain in the northeastern part of the country! Whenever possible, my buddy and I head south to visit the kids.
We have grown to care about the purple skies, white sand beaches plus palm trees of Tampa. The area is genuinely gorgeous, plus the sunshine shines nearly every morning. We finally purchased a small household where my buddy and I can comfortably stay during our visits… I also purchased a bicycle to get around plus for the sake of fitness. I care about the ability to step outside without worrying about bundling up in a heavy coat, hat, gloves plus boots; However, maintaining two houses is a bit of a challenge. When my buddy and I are in Tampa during the winter, my buddy and I worry about a power failure, boiler issue plus pipes chilly up north. I didn’t realize that my buddy and I would also have issues due to the humidity down south. The first time my buddy and I left the household in Tampa vacant for a few months, my buddy and I didn’t bother to run the a/c. We didn’t think the heat would matter. The next time my buddy and I arrived at the house, my buddy and I discovered major concerns with mold plus mildew growth, however my leather purses plus shoes were covered in mildew. There was mold growing in the toilets. We now keep the cooling system operating even when the household is empty, then paying for heating up north plus air conditioner down south adds up to a considerable cost. We have invested into smart control units for both homes to allow remote access, alert us to any malfunctions plus take luck of energy saving potential.
